Easter 2010

We hope that you all had a wonderful Easter!

We had a nice Easter spent with family and friends. The Easter weekend started with an Easter egg hunt at the local toy store on Saturday. It was VERY windy! And the parents were more than disappointing. The toy store owner had gift certificates to his store in the eggs and maybe that's what prompted it, or maybe it's just the teacher in me thinking that the egg hunt was about the kids doing the egg hunting, but the parents were like scavengers.
Here are a few pictures:
"It's so windy dad!"

Here you can really see how windy it was:

Opening the eggs at home:

My brother, sister-in-law, nieces and folks came over to dye eggs. It was a lot of fun, but I don't think anyone had as much fun as Noah. He was literally throwing the eggs into the cups. At one time he had half of the cups occupied with his eggs. He's so lucky that his cousins are so patient and loving with him.

The next three are pictures of him telling Uncle Aaron all about the egg dying process. You can see from his expressions he was quite serious! :-)

The Easter bunny out did himself/herself again this year. Noah got a slide that will eventually be moved outside, a whole bunch of sandbox toys, a sand and water table, two puzzles, some playdough toys and a "big, red truck." The Easter bunny also his eggs that had more cars and Easter trinket toys in them.
Here he is checking out his "stash":

Noah and I have been going to church at the church in which I grew up. Justin attended Easter Sunday with us and afterwards they had an egg hunt. Thank goodness this hunt was a pleasant opposite of the one the day before. And his cousins were there to help him:

My two lovely nieces on Easter Sunday. Aren't they so cute?! Mary turned ten in February and Ellie will be 8 on May 2nd!
I like to try to get pictures of the cousins on the holidays but this year it was quite a challenge. Noah was a little tired (but if you were up at 4:30 wouldn't you be?!). So, all the pictures we got of them he was either running circles around them or the girls were trying to hold him still.

Here's a short video of Noah running around the girls:
Noah adores his girls. Here's Ellie making Noah laugh:
I had a great spring break playing with my little boy. He finally opened one of his Christmas presents: the playdough dentist. He had a great time playing with it. We even named the patient "Fred", which Noah pronounces "Sred". Here he is taking care of the "bad teeth."
