Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas family and friends! We hope that you had a great holiday!
Here are some pictures from Christmas at the Abbott household.

Playdough!!! He got LOTS and LOTS of playdough!
Playing with Uncle Aaron (and the "Big Truck" that Uncle Seth and Aunt Julie got him) on Christmas day:
Starting to get really tired. . . . . it's tough opening ALL those presents!:
Here are some pictures from Christmas Eve,

Making sure Uncle Adam's setting it up correctly:
"Pa" showing him hoe the remote control works:
And now he's a pro at the remote control!:
Merry Christmas everyone! Love, Amy, Justin & Noah

Noah's First Time Bowling!

Noah experienced the fine sport of bowling today. He seemed to like it, although I think the ball return machine was much more interesting to him than the actual art of bowling. Here are some pictures from our adventure:

The other, and more important, news is Noah's Aunt Leahna and Uncle Adam arrived today from CA. We can't wait to spend some more time with them tonight and tomorrow (Christmas Eve).

Our Little Helper

Noah is quite the little helper around the house these days. Last night as Justin was cooking dinner he took it upon himself to go get the broom and sweep the floor! It was the cutest thing to watch. He'd sweep, then open the cabinet where the trash is stored and then dump the dust pan into the trash. Too bad my odds aren't that good for him doing this for the next 16-17 years!
Here's our little "sweeper":
Still sweeping;
Opening the cabinet to throw the "dust" away:
Emptying the dust pan:
His other fetish lately is the sprayer on the kitchen sink. I think he discovered it when he was helping his daddy use the mixer. He loves to play with it and unfortunately discovered how to turn the water on and spray it. Since that discovery, he'll run into the kitchen, yell "spray!" and try to drag the kitchen chair over to the sink. Luckily for us, the rug prevents him from reaching the sink on his own.
Here are some "spraying" pictures:

We had our folks over and our two brothers that live in the area and their families over for dinner last Saturday to celebrate me being done with my masters. My talented sister-in-law, Janis, made this lovely cake for the occasion:
Here are some pictures from dinner. We had intended to make homemade spaghetti and sauce with Italian sausage but neither of us felt up to the task of rolling out dough and cutting noodles. We've decided to save that for New Year's eve.

And here's a few more pictures of our little guy.
I don't know why Justin and I have bought him any presents, a 2-liter bottle would suffice nicely!

And here are the boys playing playdoh, one of Noah's favorite pass-times lately:

Graduation Day, finally!

It's nice to finally have completed my masters! Here are some pictures that my father-in-law, Tom, took from today. Unfortunately the only one with my cap on has my tassel hanging in front of my nose, and as amusing as that is, I didn't really want to post it. :-)
Here's one of me with my two favorite boys:
Noah and me:
The group, sans Tom, waiting for the commencement to start: Noah, Kathy, my dad and my mom:
Justin and Noah:
Another exciting thing about today is we are now on winter break! Can't wait to spend two weeks off with the boys. Hopefully we can get some pictures of Noah. It's been hard to get pictures since all he wants to do is play with the camera!!!

It's a Girl!

Well, it's official, Noah will be getting a little sister in April!
We had an ultrasound today and Justin and I are very happy to report that the newest member of our family is healthy and growing well. We were in awe when we had Noah's ultrasound and this one was no different. It's amazing how much it allows us to see: all four chambers of the heart, the bladder, the kidneys, the stomach the hands, the toes, the face, the list goes on!
Here are a few picture of our little girl, who will be named Hannah Evelyn:

Her foot!
Her profile: her mouth is open. She was moving her mouth a lot, maybe she was singing?!
Another profile picture:
Another profile picture, you can see her arm in this one:
And another profile shot:
And here's the big brother-to-be, playing in the cereal bowl at Cherry Creek Mall last week when we were on break:
