My Big Boy

What an active, busy guy Justin and I have!
Here's my big boy playing with his tool set:
Here he is sitting in his new booster seat, snacking on some pears!
And here he is on his new potty!!! :)  He is by no means ready to potty train (no interest in it as all) but all too soon we will be working on it.
Some of you may wonder why I don't post as much as I use to.  I know that the main reason a lot of you check the blog is to see new pictures of Noah.  Well, as I said above, he's a very active little boy.  One of his favorite pass times is trying to take the camera from me while I try to get a picture of him.  Here are some "out-takes":

18 Month Pictures!

Happy Valentine's Day everybody!!!  We had Noah's 18 month pictures taken today .  It's hard to believe that he will be 18 months old at the end of this month!  It was much more difficult this time to get pictures of him. In addition to wanting to walk everywhere, he also wants to have everything he can't have.  So, in a couple of pictures he's holding a heart, not because we wanted him to for Valentine's Day but simply because he wouldn't let the photographer have it back.
The pose below is his "I can't believe they're making me take my picture again" pose.  Check out the eyes and his right hand!
The photographer thought a cute pose would be to have him holding on to Justin's hands to show how he's walking now.  Ironically, it's Justin's least favorite picture!
Here are the "heart pictures":
In case you didn't notice, I did TWO blogs today!  Be sure to check out Justin's videos on the previous post.
Happy Valentine's Day!!!  Justin and I are going to enjoy the evening by making spaghetti noodles for tomorrow's dinner!

Look What Justin Made!!

Way to go, J!  You're wife is proud (although let it be known that I taught him everything he knows about movie editing!)

"Look Mom! No Hands!!!"

Need I say more?!  Noah's walking!  Jessica, his p.t., anticipated that when he started walking he would do it without falling and she was right.   When he gets off balance he can sometimes catch himself or he goes down to his bottom.  I guess J and I better dust off our running shoes.

Playing Hooky

This past Friday I took the day off. It's been a very busy couple of weeks with three nights of parent-teacher conferences and a 2nd grade concert.  Then Saturday I had a workshop and this Wednesday night I have professional development until 6 after school. So, Friday I played hooky.  It was great!  Noah and I got up early and took Justin to work.  After breakfast and playing at our house we met up with Papa, Mary and Ellie at Lamont Does Park in Lafayette.  Aaron (my brother) and I use to bike to this park when we were younger, we took swim lessons at the pool there, played baseball/softball there and tried to learn to play tennis.  They have updated their play equipment, it's wonderful!  Mary and Ellie took Noah down the slide (see above and below) and took him through tunnels.  He cried when it was time to leave because he had such a great time!
We ate lunch with the cousins at McDonald's, ran a errand to Sam's Club and after his afternoon nap we went to the toy store to get more track for his train.  We picked up Justin from school and the three of us went out to dinner and then walked the mall.  Of course we also had to play in the play area while we were there.  Noah's walking more and more each day, getting more steady on his feet each time.  I was so glad that I took the day off, both he and I needed the time spent together!

That's My Boy!

Do you see what Noah's pointing to?!  Look carefully at the page. . . . that's right!  He's pointing to the notes!  And when he points to them he says "node, node"!!  Of course he also likes the ABC's but is much more fascinated with the notes- that's my boy!
Here are a couple more pictures of my boy.  Above he's giving his beloved "Umbaa" a hug and below he's crawling for the camera.  In fact, it's very hard to get a good picture of him anymore as when ever the camera is out he moves as fast as he can to get it.   And then of course there is the mess behind him. . . that's another blog!  (Will I ever see the living room again?)

Happy Belated Birthdays to Aunt Janis and Aunt Leahna!

Happy late birthday to Aunt Janis and Aunt Leahna.  Janis's birthday was last Friday, January 30th and Leahna's birthday was Saturday, January 31st.  We hope you both had great days and we love you very much!
Between celebrating two aunts' birthdays, the Super Bowl, two nights of parent/teacher conferences for Amy last week with one more night this week, a 2nd grade concert the Thursday, swim lessons on Saturday mornings and a ROCKE workshop this coming weekend we've been very busy.  Noah spent a lot of time today practicing walking especially with Rachel and Jessica, his speech and physical therapists, who worked together with him this evening.  He'll be zooming around here before we know it.
