4 Month Check-Up

Noah had his 4 month check-up today. He's doing great. He's 26 3/4 inches long, in the 90% percentile for height. He weighs 17 lbs. 2 oz., in the 75% percentile for weight.
I took these pictures after Noah was weighed, while we were waiting in the examination room for the doctor to come in. I gave Justin the blanket to put on Noah and he fashioned it into a "stylin'" baby toga. Of course sitting in the room with Justin giving his commentary about the toga was much more funny than these pictures are just by themselves.

You can really see how long Noah's gotten in the picture of him playing with his daddy last night. As always, he's a smiley, happy baby. I know I always say this, but Justin and I are SO lucky to have this happy little guy in our lives!

Happy New Year and Happy Birthday To Grandpa Jerry!

If you look closely, you'll see that Noah is bringing the New Year with the hopes that the Chicago Cubbies will have a good 2008 season! Below is a picture of J teaching Noah how to work the tv remote, I'm in trouble now! :)

It's surreal for me to look back on this past year. This has been the most amazing year of my life. J and I have been so blessed. It was a year ago that we told our families that we were expecting. I can't believe that this remarkable little person is now in our lives. It has been the best experience and I have loved each and every moment of it- it's amazing to think of what our future holds. Having Noah has given me the gift of living in the now- cherishing each and every moment of the day. He has changed the way I look at my family, friends and my students. I love him and Justin so much and am so lucky to be able to call them my family.

In addition to today being New Year's, it's also my dad's birthday, so we went over to my folks house to celebrate. Aunt Janis made pizza. Noah, of course, was too little to eat it, but maybe next year! He's been exploring a lot with his voice (which as a music teacher, is very fun for me to observe). He's not only been playing with sounds but also with volume. He's been very loud (and high pitched) the past couple of days and he showed that off today for everyone. He's going to have to be loud to keep up with his cousins, Mary and Ellie!

I can't remember what anniversary this is of my dad's 39th birthday!!! (Let's just put it this way, it's more than 20)
Happy Birthday Grandpa Jerry, we love you!

Busy Sunday

What a busy day!

Justin and I have been taking turns getting up early in the morning with Noah while we've been on vacation so we can each get caught up on sleep. I took this picture this morning while we let Daddy get a little shut-eye. He's always seems to wake up in such a good mood!

We went bowling this afternoon with Grandma Kathy, Grandpa Tom, Aunt Leahna, Uncle Adam and Uncle Seth. We were at the bowling alley for over 2 hours and Noah was awake the entire time. He's such a great baby- being passed around from person to person without fussing. We are so lucky to have such a happy baby.

After bowling we went to Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Jerry's house. Granny was there. We watched the remainer of the Bronco game and Noah took 40 winks before dinner. After dinner Noah got some one-on-one time with Grandma Debbie and Granny.

I had to include this picture of Grandpa Tom and Uncle Seth pondering the bowling scores- they're very competative, you know :)

4 Months Old Today!

Here's Noah sitting on his Daddy's lap. The two of them are watching The Price Is Right. It's hard to believe that he is four months old today! It's amazing how much he changes from day to day. He's started to roll from his back to his tummy. He's been laughing a lot more lately and exploring with his voice.

Yesterday Aunt Jackie wrote and said that they were having a "do nothing day" back in South Holland, IL. We were successfull having one of those yesterday as well and from the looks of it today will be the same. It's been snowing outside all morning. Justin was going to go with Kathy, Tom, Adam and Leahna to Blackhawk for a little gambling. But, instead will be spending the day with Noah and I. The only plans we have is to bake some brownies from a mix that one of my kiddos gave me for Christmas to celebrate Noah's 4 month birthday.
Happy 4 months little Noah!
Mommy and Daddy love you tons!

Christmas Greetings

Merry Christmas! As you can see from the picture above, Noah is in toyland! We had a great Christmas Eve at Grandma Kathy's and Grandpa Tom's last night and will soon be on our way over to Grandma Debbie's and Grandpa Jerry's. Before we go I thought I'd post some pictures that we took this morning.

Justin, Noah and I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, filled with joy and shared with loved ones.

Presents, presents, presents!!

It's a good thing that Noah's too little to spoil! Justin and I just spent 3 hours wrapping presents for him and our families. Needless to say the recipient of the majority of those gifts is not yet 4 months old. He doesn't have any concept of what Christmas is, yet he'll be receiving a TON of gifts! As we were wrapping them, we realized just how much stuff we bought for him, it's totally crazy!
To top it off, we went to a toy store, Grand Rabbits, today. It's a really neat store, pricey, but neat. That's where our Christmas budget was really "done in". Justin found some really neat blocks, I found a piggy bank, we each found a book and a little stuffed animal for him. As I said, it's a good thing that he's too young to spoil! :)

St. Nick

Noah meet Jolly Ol' Santa Claus today! Kathy and Tom rode with me down to Noah's doctors appointment at Childrens. He had an appointment about his skin, which is doing well. Our appointment was at 8 am and we were there at 7:15- made it in plenty of time! Afterwards is when we went to Flatirons Mall to get Noah's picture taken with Santa. We were there at 9 when Santa opened shop and there was already a line! They sure move people in and out of it quickly. I got Noah out of the stroller and before I knew it they had snapped four pictures of him with Santa and were asking me which one I liked the best. Next year when we take Noah to see Kris Kringle I'll be better prepared.
