Easter 2010

We hope that you all had a wonderful Easter!

We had a nice Easter spent with family and friends. The Easter weekend started with an Easter egg hunt at the local toy store on Saturday. It was VERY windy! And the parents were more than disappointing. The toy store owner had gift certificates to his store in the eggs and maybe that's what prompted it, or maybe it's just the teacher in me thinking that the egg hunt was about the kids doing the egg hunting, but the parents were like scavengers.
Here are a few pictures:
"It's so windy dad!"

Here you can really see how windy it was:

Opening the eggs at home:

My brother, sister-in-law, nieces and folks came over to dye eggs. It was a lot of fun, but I don't think anyone had as much fun as Noah. He was literally throwing the eggs into the cups. At one time he had half of the cups occupied with his eggs. He's so lucky that his cousins are so patient and loving with him.

The next three are pictures of him telling Uncle Aaron all about the egg dying process. You can see from his expressions he was quite serious! :-)

The Easter bunny out did himself/herself again this year. Noah got a slide that will eventually be moved outside, a whole bunch of sandbox toys, a sand and water table, two puzzles, some playdough toys and a "big, red truck." The Easter bunny also his eggs that had more cars and Easter trinket toys in them.
Here he is checking out his "stash":

Noah and I have been going to church at the church in which I grew up. Justin attended Easter Sunday with us and afterwards they had an egg hunt. Thank goodness this hunt was a pleasant opposite of the one the day before. And his cousins were there to help him:

My two lovely nieces on Easter Sunday. Aren't they so cute?! Mary turned ten in February and Ellie will be 8 on May 2nd!
I like to try to get pictures of the cousins on the holidays but this year it was quite a challenge. Noah was a little tired (but if you were up at 4:30 wouldn't you be?!). So, all the pictures we got of them he was either running circles around them or the girls were trying to hold him still.

Here's a short video of Noah running around the girls:
Noah adores his girls. Here's Ellie making Noah laugh:
I had a great spring break playing with my little boy. He finally opened one of his Christmas presents: the playdough dentist. He had a great time playing with it. We even named the patient "Fred", which Noah pronounces "Sred". Here he is taking care of the "bad teeth."

Noah Pics

It seems I've gotten pretty bad about getting on here and posting new pictures. I'm on spring break this week so hopefully I will get some more added later this week.
Justin was on spring break last week and I scored a snow day on Wednesday and got to stay home with the boys!!!
For those of you that don't know, I have a c-section scheduled for April 16th! When I was at the music conference in January I picked up some toys for Noah that I was saving those for maternity leave. However, when I got home from school on Friday Justin said nothing was interesting Noah so we went ahead and got one of those toys out: the Marble Works from Discovery Toys. He LOVES it!!! He's been playing with it non-stop since Friday night. Here are a couple pictures from yesterday morning:
It even has a crank so you can move the marbles up a level. . . . Noah LOVES this!
Before all of our snow we had some wonderful weather (and not to rub it in to J, but it looks like it's going to be 60s and low 70s for my spring break!). We were able to spend a whole week after school out in the back yard. Noah's favorite pass time outside? Blowing bubbles!

If you look closely, you can see that he's talking to Justin through the window in this picture :-)
Oh, and riding his big truck is pretty cool too.
J might kill me for this picture! I was going through all of our old baby clothes and some of the baby clothes that were mine that my mom gave me and I found my old robe that my Granny made me. Noah loved wearing it, here he is saying "cheese!" while watching Spongebob and wearing it!:
This cracked Justin up one day: Noah was playing with Justin's iPod and J kept trying to touch it. Watch how Noah keeps moving Justin's hand away until he can't take it anymore! (and listen for the sigh of relief at the end!!!)

Just Some Pics. . ..

Justin reading bedtime stories to Noah:
Justin, trying to show Noah how to play in a big box (the box is to our new double stroller!):
Noah finally goes in the box, thanks dad!
Noah in the box, all smiles!:
Sitting in the new stroller. He can't wait to use it when Hannah gets here!!!:
Last Friday I took the day off and Noah & I headed to the Children's Museum in Denver. Here he is exploring the cave under the tree:

Another Children's Museum picture:
The boys lounging on the couch last Saturday:
A couple pictures from my shower:

He is so fascinated with cameras. I can't get any pictures of him because he's so quick to run to the camera!:

Speed, Speed and More Speed

Noah was very excited when he got a new race car out of the Cheerios box today. Here he is with Justin playing cars. You'll hear him at one point say "speed, speed and more speed," which is said on the Cheerios commercial promoting the new toy.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope you all had a great Valentine's Day!
It's been really busy here , especially for me with conferences and workshops and ROCKE commitments. This next week is pretty busy too with Noah's PT and Speech appointments, two birthdays (mine and Mary's), a class I have and Mary's birthday party. But I thought before this crazy week starts I'd share some new pictures. It's really hard to get any pictures of Noah because if he's not totally absorbed in what he's doing he'll run after the camera and HAVE to have it. Justin was able to capture some quality pictures yesterday while I was at Sr. Lorna's workshop. J got me a curio cabinet for Valentine's Day/my birthday. So, here are some pictures of Noah "helping" daddy:
