Things seem to be settling in at the Abbott house. I must admit earlier this week (okay, yesterday) I was still feeling overwhelmed with everything. I was and am still worried about Noah's adjustment to a new person in the house and how I can divide my time between my two babies, giving them each the time, energy and love that they each deserve.
But today was a good day. Noah was in the best mood he's been in for a long time. I think he's finally feeling better (he still has a cough and his nose is still sometimes runny) and I hope that he's starting to realize that his role in the family is not in jeopardy because of the new little person in the house. We did start the day a little rough with Noah hitting Hannah while she was nursing. He had to have a time out but after that the day was great. I think one of the cutest things all day was hearing him talk to Hannah while I was in the other room. He had gotten up from his nap and was enjoying a popsicle. He was explaining to Hannah that he was eating a popsicle and telling her that it was an orange popsicle. It really touched my heart. I need to start journaling all the ways that they are interacting and the sweet things that they say to each other.
Here are a few pictures from the day:
Hannah in one of the shirts that Fran sent to her, it reads "Princess is Good, Queen is better."
Noah sitting in Hannah's carseat. He still thinks this is a riot!
I don't know why we bother to swaddle this little pumpkin. She always has her hands out (as did her big brother) and she'll get her legs out as well. If we put another blanket on top of her, inevitably she'll kick that off too!
Here's our bubble boy! It was FINALLY nice enough for me to take him outside. It's been rainy (and snowy yesterday) here all week!
Here's Noah playing with Uncle Aaron. At this time Hannah would have been found in cousin Mary's arms. She's just like me when I was her age, if there was a baby around I was dying to hold it. She's going to be a great babysitter when she gets a little older!
